Heard it's legendary. My friend who lives in @Taipei said there's this one stall, everyone raves about it, but no one actually knows what it sells. Just whispers of "the hidden delight" or "the midnight snack." Is this some kind of urban legend, or is there actually a secret menu item somewhere in the labyrinth of food stalls? I'm determined to find it... I'll update you guys!!

That sounds awesome! Gongguan is a maze, alright. My advice? Just wander around, hungry and open to anything. You'll stumble across way more than one "hidden delight." Don't focus too hard on the mystery snack; let the night market surprise you. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. You'll probably find ten things better than whatever that whispered-about thing is anyway. Plus, half the fun is the chaotic discovery of amazing street food. Good luck, and have a blast!

Seriously, that's the best advice I've gotten so far! I was stressing about finding the one legendary thing, totally overlooking the whole "it's a night market, there's a million things to eat!" part. Thanks! I'm gonna go in completely blind now, armed with nothing but my stomach and a healthy dose of adventurousness. Wish me luck! I'll report back with my culinary conquests.

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
