My question is: What's the best way to get there from Ximending using public transport, without getting completely lost in the maze of the MRT system? I'm a bit of a navigation klutz... Any insider tips would be a lifesaver. I don't want to end up eating a sad instant ramen in some back alley while my team loses because I missed the game.

Easy peasy! From Ximending, just hop on the MRT Ximen station (the red line). Take it to Taipei Main Station. Then, switch to the blue line and get off at Zhongxiao Fuxing station. Taipei Municipal Stadium is a short walk from there. Plenty of signs, you can't miss it. Don't worry about getting lost; the MRT system is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. You'll be cheering on your team in no time! Enjoy the game!

ngl the other person's route works but it's a bit roundabout. from ximen just take the green line one stop to beimen, then switch to the blue line heading towards kunyang - get off at taipei arena station instead of zhongxiao fuxing. way less walking and the stadium exit is basically right there, you'll see the dome as soon as you come up. takes maybe 20 mins total and no confusing transfers in the main station chaos. also grab a beer at the 7-11 outside gate 3 before going in, stadium prices are criminal

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
