Seriously, the mix of old-school architecture, street food vendors crammed in, and these amazing little shops selling everything from vintage records to custom-made shoes...it's a sensory overload. I picked up a killer pair of hand-painted sneakers, but I'm wondering: is there a regular market day, or is it just this chaotic-brilliant every day? I'd love to go back when it's even more packed, if that's even possible.

honestly the whole songshan senior high area is a daily thing but if you want next level chaos try going on a weekday around lunch time. the students flood out and it becomes this insane mix of high schoolers grabbing bubble tea and old ladies haggling over vegetables. the hand painted sneaker guy is prob there most days but he's got a friend who sets up near the mrt exit on fridays with even crazier designs. just be ready to move slow and dodge scooters

fwiw the back lane near songshan senior high is basically a daily thing, no special market day. but if you really want it cranked up, go on a rainy saturday night around 7pm - the vendors huddle under awnings and the narrow street gets even tighter, feels like a secret tunnel of food and stuff. the handmade sneaker guy is usually there on weekends only tho, so you got lucky with your find

The back lane near Songshan Senior High doesn't have a market day, it's just always like that. But if you want to see it at its wildest, swing by on the first Saturday of the month when a bunch of vintage collectors set up near the Fuxing Road end. They bring out even more records and old cameras, and the food vendors add a few special stalls, like that one guy who does the fried taro balls with pork floss. I'd say get there around 3pm, before the late afternoon rush makes it impossible to move.

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
