Taipei Stadium Mystery

Heard crazy stories about the acoustics there, some say it's amazing, others say it's a nightmare. My friend, a local, swore he once saw a ghost near the old scoreboard during a particularly quiet performance. Seriously. So, my question is: What's the real deal with the sound inside Taipei Municipal Stadium? Is it truly haunted, or just a legend spread by bored ticket sellers?

Honestly? It's a mixed bag. The acoustics are... inconsistent, to put it mildly. Some sections are great, others sound like you're listening through a tin can. It really depends on where your seats are. I've been to a few shows there, and the sound quality varied wildly between them. The ghost stories? Pure Taipei folklore, I'd say. Fun to hear, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just hope you get good seats!

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. Inconsistent acoustics is a real buzzkill, especially if you're paying decent money for a ticket. Thanks for the heads-up about the "ghost stories", I was kinda curious, but not that curious. Good seats are definitely key then! So, fingers crossed for a good show and decent sound.

look man it's a 50 year old concrete bowl originally built for baseball not concerts. the sound is gonna be crap anywhere behind the stage or off to the sides. center floor or lower stands near the mixing board are fine. ghosts? the only scary thing there is when a power ballad echoes wrong

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
