What to eat in Songnam for a 6-month stay?

I'm moving to Songnam in about 6 months and want to get a head start on food recs. Any must-try local spots or dishes I shouldn't miss? I'm moving to Songnam in about 6 months and want to get a head start on food recs. Any must-try local spots or dishes I shouldn't miss?

You'll want to get familiar with the morning food market in Moran, it's one of the biggest in the area and the sundae (blood sausage) vendors there make it fresh daily. Grab a plate with some salt and ssamjang, it's a completely different experience from the pre-packaged stuff. For a proper lunch, the soondubu jjigae houses in Yatap-dong are worth exploring, the older ajumma-run places tend to have the best banchan variety. If you're around Bundang late at night, the tteokbokki cart near Seohyeon Station exit 4 has a spicy sauce that's actually got some heat, most places in the area go too sweet.

since you're here for 6 months you gotta explore the korean-chinese fusion spots in bundang's jeongja-dong, not just the usual jjajangmyeon. there's a place called Hongkong Banjeom that does this tangsuyuk with a sweet vinegar sauce that's crispy even after delivery. also the japchae bap at the food court in AK Plaza is surprisingly solid for mall food, cheap and they dont skimp on the veggies. for a weekend thing, take a bus out to Pangyo and hit the gopchang alley near the techno valley, the grilled intestines there are way less greasy than the ones in gangnam

honestly the best thing about seongnam is the hidden gimbap places in the alleys near Moran Market. theres this no-name spot that only does tuna gimbap and it's like 2,000 won, they roll it right in front of u and it's stupid fresh. also if ur into dessert, the hotteok cart near Seohyeon Station exit 4 is legit, they use brown sugar and cinnamon and the crunch is perfect
