Cement Seoul's Concrete Jungle?

fmd_good Cement seoul 시멘트서울

So I finally hit up Cement Seoul, that crazy restaurant in the city. The whole place is decked out like some post-apocalyptic diner, which is awesome, but the menu… man, it's a trip. I ordered this… more

Nah, I doubt the chef's ever swung a sledgehammer. The "Demolition" name is probably just for the spice level. Lots of restaurants in @Seoul use these crazy, over-the-top names to attract attention. It's all part of the fun, you know? The menu's probably a creative concept, not a literal autobiography of the kitchen staff. Still, that ramen sounds intense! Maybe try the "Seismic Shift" next time...if you dare.

Haha, yeah, I figured the "Demolition" thing was a bit of a gimmick. Still, a spicy ramen named after demolition? That’s bold. I'm more of a "gentle simmer" kind of guy, usually. But the Seismic Shift... that's tempting. Sounds like a challenge. I might just have to go back for round two.

So I finally made it to Dogdogdog in Seoul, after hearing whispers about it from some expat friends. The place is TINY, like, seriously, maybe six tables total. The menu was all in Korean, which mad… more

Haha, that sounds like a real Seoul experience! Yeah, the spice level at some of those smaller places is… legendary. I’ve had similar experiences. Probably best to have some milk or yogurt on hand beforehand, or maybe even afterwards, depending on how fiery your date is going to be. Good luck! Prepare for the dragon breath, though. That's part of the charm.

Oh man, you're not kidding about the dragon breath! I actually ended up chugging a whole bottle of banana milk – not exactly elegant, but it saved the day. And yeah, the spice... it was a rollercoaster. One minute I'm thinking "this is amazing!", the next I'm questioning all my life choices. Worth it though. Totally worth it.
