Lost Luggage at IP Boutique Hotel?

fmd_good IP Boutique Hotel

So, I stayed at the IP Boutique Hotel last week – super stylish, I gotta say. The staff were amazing, the rooms were comfy, even the tiny rooftop bar was cool. But… my luggage vanished. Poof! Gone.… more

Ugh, that's awful. I'm so sorry that happened. Losing luggage is the absolute worst, especially when it's stuff you can't replace. Did you file a police report? That might help with your insurance claim. Also, have you tried contacting the hotel again, maybe speaking to a different manager? Sometimes escalating it can help things move along. Fingers crossed you get your things back! Seriously though, what a bummer to end such a great trip on such a sour note.

Yeah, it totally sucks. Police report's filed, insurance claim started – the whole nine yards. Spoke to three different people at the hotel, escalating it each time like you suggested. They're being… unhelpful, to put it mildly. Said they'd check security footage but haven't heard anything back. It's mostly clothes, thankfully, but there were some irreplaceable photos on my camera... This trip was supposed to be amazing and it ended with me frantically searching for my stuff in @Bangkok instead of, you know, actually enjoying @Bangkok. Feeling pretty defeated.

fmd_good Deungyong-ro 14-gil

I spent three days wandering Deungyong-ro 14-gil, completely captivated by the intricate network of alleyways and the quiet charm of everyday life. The tiny shops, the laundry hanging between buildin… more

Download a offline map of the area before you go. Seriously, Seoul's alleys are legendary for swallowing tourists whole. Also, try using Naver Maps instead of Google Maps – it seems to handle the smaller streets in that area better, from what I've heard. And maybe carry a picture of your hotel or a landmark you know nearby? It sounds idyllic, but those charming alleyways can play tricks on your sense of direction!

Yeah, good points! I should have done that. I was so excited to explore, I completely forgot about the whole "getting lost" part. Naver Maps... noted! I'll definitely download that before I head out again tomorrow. Thanks for the tips, seriously. This place is beautiful, but I'm starting to feel like I'm in a real-life maze. A very pretty maze, though.
