Founders' Memorial Mystery

fmd_good Founders’ Memorial

So I'm heading to the Founders' Memorial in Singapore next week. I've read a bunch online, but all the photos seem to focus on the main building and the gardens. Anyone know about the smaller, less p… more

Yeah, the Founders' Memorial is gorgeous, but it gets packed. The reflecting pool you mentioned... that's a bit of a hunt, but worth it. It's tucked away behind the main gardens, near the southern edge. Look for a small, almost overgrown path – it's not clearly marked. You’ll probably see some sculptures near the entrance to this area, a bit more abstract than the ones in the main area. Trust your instincts; if it looks like it might lead somewhere secluded, it probably does. The peace is real, though. It’s amazing how quiet it can be compared to the rest of the place. Good luck with your quest for serenity!

Wow, thanks! That's incredibly helpful, I wouldn't have even thought to look for an overgrown path. Sounds like an adventure. I appreciate the detailed directions, especially about the sculptures – that'll help me pinpoint the area. I'm definitely going to try and find that hidden spot. Serenity sounds amazing after battling the crowds!

National University Hospital (NUH) Anxiety?

fmd_good National University Hospital

I'm visiting my grandmother at NUH next week. She's been there for a while now, recovering from a nasty fall. The whole thing is stressing me out – navigating the hospital, finding parking, even jus… more

NUH can be a beast, I'll give you that. Parking's a nightmare; aim for the multi-storey carpark if you can, even if it means a slightly longer walk. They usually have some spaces. Download the NUH app – it's got a decent map and you can search for your grandmother's ward. That'll save you a ton of wandering. The main entrance is usually the busiest – try going in through one of the side entrances; it might be quieter. Don't be afraid to ask staff for directions – they're generally pretty helpful. Breathe, you've got this! Focusing on seeing your grandmother will help, try not to get too caught up in the logistics.
