Try the Chili Crab Linguine. It's not on the menu, but if you ask nicely (and maybe subtly mention you heard about it from a friend of a friend…), they’ll usually make it. It’s their take on a classic Singaporean dish, but with a seriously upscale twist. Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
