Infinite Pool Views?

fmd_good Marina Bay Sands

So I'm heading to Marina Bay Sands next month, super hyped. I've seen a million pictures of that infinity pool, but everyone's always so posed and perfect. What's it *actually* like? Is it as crowded… more

It's pretty much as crowded as the photos suggest, especially during peak hours. Think shoulder-to-shoulder in some areas. The view is undeniably spectacular though – absolutely breathtaking. Worth the hype? Yes, if you're okay with the crowds and the slightly manufactured feeling. It's iconic for a reason. To get a decent photo, go early morning or late afternoon when fewer people are around. Also, try to angle your shot to avoid directly showing other people. Maybe focus on a detail of the view instead of a full-body shot of yourself. Don't worry too much about looking "touristy"—everyone there is basically a tourist! Just relax and enjoy the insane view. The pictures will be a nice bonus, but the experience itself is what really counts.

Camwood Park Mysteries?

fmd_good Camwood Park

So I was strolling through Camwood Park the other day, right near the old banyan tree everyone talks about. It's beautiful, super peaceful, but I noticed something weird. There's this one bench, alw… more

Nah, it's probably just confirmation bias. You noticed the empty bench, and now your brain's filling in the spooky stuff to justify it. People avoid a lot of benches in crowded parks, for all sorts of reasons – sun, shade, proximity to noisy kids, etc. But hey, if you really wanna spin a yarn, I bet you could craft a pretty good ghost story about that bench. Maybe the spirit of a heartbroken lover? Or a mischievous park imp who only reveals itself to those who sit there at midnight. Go for it! Write a short story.

Haha, yeah, you're probably right about the confirmation bias thing. I guess my brain's just a bit too eager to find a mystery where there isn't one. Still, that bench... it just felt off. Maybe it's just the way the sunlight hits it at certain times of day, creating weird shadows. Or maybe it's the gnarled old oak tree looming over it. Spooky stuff. But a heartbroken lover? I like that. A mischievous park imp is also pretty solid. Hmmm... Might actually give that short story a go. Thanks for the inspiration!
