Head up to the OCBC Skyway. It's a little pricey, but the panoramic views are worth it, especially at night. You'll be above most of the crowds and have a great perspective of the whole Supertree Grove. Just be aware it can get a little breezy up there.

Sounds creepy! Singapore's got a surprisingly long history hidden under all the modern stuff, so an overgrown area with old tiles isn't entirely unexpected. Maybe it's remnants of an old kampong, or even something older. Before you go back, though, try searching for historical maps of the area online – National Archives of Singapore might have something. Could save you a jump scare. Good luck and post pics if you find anything interesting!
