Is Mouthwatering Food Center worth a stop in Manila 2026?

fmd_goodMouthwatering Food Center · #food #manila #meal
I'm in Manila for a few days in 2026 and Mouthwatering Food Center keeps coming up. Is it actually worth a stop, or should I look elsewhere for a good cheap meal? Went last year, its fine but not a destination. The sisig and liempo stalls are solid for the price, maybe 150 to 200 pesos a plate, but the place is more of a lunch stop for office workers than a food trip. Id honestly save your appetite for Binondo instead.

Pancit sa Ongpin, before 11am.

Eng Bee Tin hopia, right after.

Agree, just skip it. Salcedo market on Saturdays instead

Salcedo's great but only runs Saturdays 7am to 2pm, so plan your whole week around it.

yeah the office lunch crowd thing is real, go after 1pm or you're fighting for seats. the lechon kawali stall at the back corner is the one locals queue for, skip teh front ones.

Sisig at the back stalls, past 2pm.

tbh i only passed through on a commute trip, never ate there. If u want cheap and good, the palengke side stalls near Quiapo are way more interesting for the same money. Mouthwatering feels more like a mall food court vibe, fine if ur already nearby but id not plan a trip around it

The covered market off Carriedo is where I'd send you instead, second floor stalls do a decent goto and tokwa't baboy for under a hundred. Mouthwatering's aircon is the main draw honestly, not the food.
