jollibee's shake floats run around 65 pesos & honestly hit the spot for cheap

the mango one, but theyre smaller than u think

Fair warning tho, some branches water the mix down so it tastes more like sweet milk than a shake

Second this, mango float is the move.

If u end up in bgc instead of makati, try the shakes at the weekend market near bonifacio high street, 120 to 180 pesos. in makati, the stalls inside landmark food hall are cheaper than the cafes. bring cash, some stalls dont take cards

Arnaiz is a good call. Do they still get packed around lunch or is the afternoon window pretty calm? Asking since I'd rather not queue on a short trip.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

afternoons are calm there, just avoid the 12 to 1 lunch rush and you'll walk right in.

Is 1246 Bar and Restaurant worth a visit in 2026?

I'm in Manila for a few nights next month and 1246 Bar and Restaurant keeps coming up. What's the vibe like, and do I need to book ahead on a weekend? Thursday nights, way calmer than weekends.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah midweek is the move, though idk if 1246 is even the spot people mean

I've only been once, on a Saturday, and we walked in around 9 without a reservation and got a table, so it's not always packed. The vibe is more low-key neighborhood spot than big night out. Food was decent, nothing life-changing. If you're going with a group on a weekend I'd still reserve just to be safe.

Book ahead, weekends fill up fast there.
