Chang Coffee & Tea in Manila, any good in 2026?

fmd_goodChang Coffee & Tea · #coffee
Stopping by Chang Coffee & Tea next month while I'm in Manila for work and wondering what to order. Is it more of a coffee or tea spot, and does it get packed around lunch? I've only been to the one near Greenbelt and it was mostly a tea crowd, the roasted oolong is what I'd go back for. Lunch gets busy with office workers but the queue moves fast, maybe 10 minutes around noon.

the mango cream tea is the sleeper pick

roasted oolong's solid but the hojicha latte's better

Hojicha's too milky for me, ask for it half sweet.

yeah the lunch crowd's mostly from the nearby offices, but weekends it's way quieter if u can swing a Saturday.

Fair warning the Greenbelt branch has almost no seats past 12:30 so grab a table before ordering.

250 pesos is on the high side for a carinderia style eatery, though not crazy for a sit-down meal in that area. I'd expect closer to 120 to 180 for a standard rice and ulam plate at most neighborhood spots. If it includes a drink and a specialty dish, it's probably fair.

120 to 180 if kanin isn't bottomless

arrow_drop_up 11 arrow_drop_down

Agree, though 250 usually means a special like lechon kawali.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

250 is fine if it's a seafood or bagnet plate, but ask if kanin is bottomless first.

Bottomless kanin matters more at carinderias like this since a second rice can add 20 to 30 pesos.
