I'm used to the pub culture here in Nurnberg so I'm hoping something similar exists.

Good call on that one. Add B-side in Poblacion on Thursday, they do vinyl + open decks and the crowd is mostly regulars. Quiz there is first Wed of teh month, worth checking their IG before you go.

Agree on that one, though I'd get there early since the quiz fills up fast. They also do a Sunday roast that pulls a regular crowd, decent way to meet people without the quiz pressure.

Check out Saguijo in Makati, they've got live sets most weeknights and a mixed crowd of musos and regulars. Also try Commune in Salcedo for a low key vibe where people actually talk. I've only been through Manila a couple times but those felt closest to proper pub culture.
