only visited but my cousins there say it's mostly friends of friends & work circles, apps are kinda hit or miss tbh. cafe culture is real though, people linger for hours. bgc & makati are where most of that happens

yeah the lingering is real, tambay culture basically, but work circles thin out fast once people switch jobs so friends of friends carries more weight long term

friends of friends does the heavy lifting, though the real glue is inuman culture. one night out with a barkada and u get absorbed into three more circles. that's how most people actually widen their net

1246 sits in Poblacion, which is basically Manila's bar district, so you won't lack options. The vibe is casual and mixed, locals and expats, gets busy after 10pm. Within walking distance I'd point you to Agimat on Alfonso Street for cocktails and Oto for something more low-key. Both are a few minutes on foot. Poblacion streets get quiet and dark late, so just keep your wits about you walking back.
