Is Jameron Electronics a bar scam in Manila 2026?

fmd_goodJameron Electronics · #manila #electronics #scam
Someone near Jameron Electronics told me it was a bar and tried to walk me inside, but the sign says electronics. Is this a known scam in Manila? What's the play here? The sign is the truth, the story is the trap. Once you're through that door you're in a room where the "bill" comes with guys blocking the exit. Just keep walking and don't let anyone steer you by the elbow.

same play near the lrt stations too

classic tondo bait and switch, keep walking

Recto side, not Tondo.

fair, that stretch is cluttered with shops like that. last time i was around there someone pulled the same move by a dimly lit doorway, guy even had a laminated menu. just cross to the well lit side & keep moving

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah my bad, that cluster sits right around the recto side of the boundary. the giveaway is the padyak guys hovering outside who suddenly become tour guides when u slow down. if nobody's actually selling capacitors, keep it moving

tondo side of the boundary, near the estero

Watch for the laminated menu too.

Fe-Bulous Canteen in Manila, worth a stop in 2026?

fmd_goodFe-Bulous Canteen · #lunch #canteen #manila
Staying near Manila for a few days in 2026 and Fe-Bulous Canteen keeps popping up. Is it more of a cheap eats canteen or a proper cafe, and what should I order first? Also how busy does it get around… Staying near Manila for a few days in 2026 and Fe-Bulous Canteen keeps popping up. go before noon, like 11:30, or the office crowd from nearby buildings fills teh place fast. order the pork BBQ with rice first, cheap and reliable. sisig is good too but the BBQ is what I'd get on a first visit.

arrow_drop_up 13 arrow_drop_down

yeah 11:30 is right, i'd add that the queue moves fast so don't skip it just cause it looks packed

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

It's a proper carinderia-style canteen, not a cafe, so go for the sisig and expect a lunch queue by noon.
