I only visited for two weeks so take this lightly, but the thing that stood out was how much dating runs through group chats and GCs before you ever meet solo. Also "date" often just means a mall hangout at Greenbelt or a coffee at Toby's, not a formal dinner. Money talk comes up earlier than you'd expect too.

Fair point but Trinoma is the real middle ground, aircon and you can walk to everything. Ayala Terraces if u want to feel fancy without the Makati prices. Just avoid the weekend crowds at all of them.

tbh apps are pretty big there, but friends of friends is how most ppl actually get introduced. i visited once and teh group hangout thing felt way more central than one on one dates. dunno, maybe just say yes to every invite at first
