Fe-Bulous Canteen in Manila, worth a stop in 2026?

fmd_goodFe-Bulous Canteen · #canteen #dish #manila
Coming to Manila for a few days in 2026 and a friend keeps telling me to eat at Fe-Bulous Canteen. Is it actually good or just a local favorite? Any must order dish there? stopped by on a trip last year. the sisig and the crispy pata are what people actually order, not the hyped stuff. go before noon, the line gets silly after 12 and seats fill fast.

Second this, and get the sizzling plate version.

yeah the sizzling one hits different, get it with rice and ask for extra sauce on the side. its a bit oily but thats kinda the point. heads up tho, they close early on Sundays

the kare-kare on Thursdays, thats the sleeper

tbh its more of a neighborhood carinderia vibe than a destination, portions are big and cheap but dont expect anything fancy.

Visiting Manila next month and staying near Mouthwatering Food Center. What stalls there are actually worth it and what should I expect to pay? Any tips on timing so it's not packed would help too. go around 2pm on a weekday, that's after the lunch rush and before the after-work crowd; expect 60 to 120 pesos per dish at most stalls.

Fair warning that a lot of stalls close up by early evening, so don't push it too late.

Weekday afternoons work, though I'd aim closer to 1:30 since the popular sisig and lechon stalls sell out by mid-afternoon. Saturdays are a different beast entirely, packed by noon with families.
