best milkshakes in Manila near Great Shakes Corporation?

fmd_goodGreat Shakes Corporation · #milkshake
Visiting Manila next month and staying near Great Shakes Corporation. Is their milkshake worth the trip or should I look elsewhere? Any other cafes nearby worth checking out in 2026? I'm not based in Manila so take this with a grain of salt, but I visited last year and Great Shakes is fine, just not a pilgrimage. If you're staying in that area, the nearby streets have better options for a proper shake, and the small cafes around the side roads tend to be quieter in the mornings. Worth walking a few blocks before committing.

yeah mornings are key, try the side street cafes off Shaw before 9am when the baristas aren't slammed yet

Getting a TIN at BIR Manila 2026: First-Timer Questions

I've got my passport and visa docs ready but I'm stuck on whether I need to book an appointment at the BIR branch near my office or if walk-ins are still allowed in 2026. Any idea which form I actually fill out first, 1901 or 1902?

Form 1902, ask HR for the RDO code first.

i did this last year when i moved there. if you're a pure employee (not freelancing or with a business), it's form 1902, not 1901. 1901 is for self-employed or mixed income. go to the RDO that covers your office address, walk-ins were still fine when i went but mornings before 9 are way less crowded. bring a photocopy of your passport and contract, they always ask for extras.

good call on 1902, saved me a headache when i went. one thing tho, the RDO depends on your registered address not the office, so check with HR which one they used for payroll. mornings are def the move, by 10 the queue at the Manila branches gets rough.
