Best beer bars in Nurnberg 2026?

If you want the proper cellar vibe, look for a Kellerbier on tap rather than anything filtered. Altstadthof on Bergstrasse brews their own rotbier and it's a decent central stop, though it leans a bit touristy. For something rougher try the bars around Weissgerbergasse on a weekday evening, that's where the after work crowd goes. March is cold so grab a seat inside early, places fill up after 7.

The Kellerbier point is right, and I'd add that "Keller" here means the storage cellar, not a basement bar, so don't go looking for a literal underground room. For the Weissgerbergasse crowd, weeknights around 6 are better than later, it empties out as people head home.

heads up, Nurnberg is Nuremberg, and for Franconian stuff skip the Altstadt tourist bars and hit Landbierparadies on Fürther Str. Schanzenbräu in Gostenhof is also worth the walk. fwiw I'd go Schanzenbräu first.

Agreed on Schanzenbräu first, though check their opening hours before you trek out, they're limited on weekdays. Add Brauhaus Riegele near the station if you want something central, their Siebzehnfuffzig is a solid helles.

yeah the walk to gostenhof is worth it tbh. if u end up near the castle instead, try the kleine bierkeller spots on the way up, they pour some proper franconian stuff. just check they're open, some are seasonal

just note Schanzenbräu's taproom is only open Thu to Sat evenings, so plan the walk accordingly

Moving to Manila 2026: how does dating actually work?

tbh apps do most of the heavy lifting in metro Manila, but it's a numbers game and you'll wade through a lot of matches that never turn into a meetup. Bumble and Tinder are the big two; Coffee Meets Bagel has a smaller, slightly more serious crowd. First dates usually happen in malls, specifically around BGC or Makati, since everyone's already there for work. Group-of-friends setups still exist but are slower to develop when you're new.

BGC's High Street, Sunday afternoons.

fwiw the "date" label carries weight early on, so people often hang out in groups first before calling it anything. Grab rides home after a night out are basically teh norm, and splitting the bill is common unless someone insists.
