I keep hearing about places like Chang Coffee & Tea for getting work done, so I'm curious how the wifi and power outlets hold up at cafes there and whether people generally camp out for a full shift or move along after a couple of hours.

only visited but i camped at a few spots in bgc & makati, wifi held up fine for calls. power outlets are hit or miss though so bring a power strip. nobody really rushed me out after a couple hours tbh

Agree on outlets. In BGC the good ones like Wildflour get packed by 10am, so go early or try quieter spots along a side street.

Try the side streets off Legazpi, quieter before lunch.

Salcedo side streets get calm after the lunch rush too, and the small spots near the park rarely mind a long stay.

the little ones near Greenbelt 3, dead till noon

Power strip is the real tip, most tables only have one socket

Chang Coffee & Tea in Pasig, sockets by the window

What do locals actually pay for a basic coffee and a plate of food at these neighborhood canteens in 2026? I'd rather know the going rate than haggle blindly.

Around 80 to 120 pesos, coffee and rice meal.
