Great Shakes Corporation Manila worth a stop in 2026?

Is it worth going out of my way for, and what should I order there? Also curious which branch is easiest to reach without a car.

Great Shakes is a homegrown chain, not a destination cafe, so I wouldn't plan a trip around it. The branches at Greenbelt in Makati and inside SM Mall of Asia are the easiest without a car. Order the buko pandan shake, it's the one thing worth the stop.

Also try the avocado shake, seasonal tho

Ask for it with ripe lakatan, not the imported ones.

Avocado peaks around summer, roughly April to June.

Batangas avocados hit stalls earlier, try February.

Agree it's not a destination, but the Quezon City branch on Maginhawa is the one locals actually hit and it's a jeepney ride off the MRT.

Robinsons Ermita works too, walkable from Pedro Gil.

Second this. Ube halaya shake at the Podium branch.

Fair point on it not being a destination. One thing worth adding: the buko pandan is best at the standalone shops, the mall kiosks water it down with too much ice. If you're near one of those, that's the version to get.

yeah the mall ones are fine but the buko pandan gets way better if u ask for less sugar, the default is pretty sweet

Are there regular meetups, hobby groups, or community nights where a newcomer can just show up and keep coming back? I'll be near Farnecio Eatery if that helps narrow it down.

Quiapo church choir practice, Wednesday evenings.

Running clubs are the easiest recurring thing to join cold, lots meet around the Salcedo and Legazpi weekend markets early Saturday. Board game nights at cafes in Makati and Ortigas also run weekly and regulars actually show up.

idk ur exact area but barangay community nights & pickup basketball courts are the easiest recurring thing to just keep showing up to
