Day trip ideas near Paranaque?
imo if you've got a whole day to kill, head south to Alabang and hit up the River Park in Filinvest City. it's this long green strip with a man-made river where people jog, bike, or just chill on the grass. there's also a weekend market nearby called Mercato Centrale that opens in the late afternoon with great street food like sisig tacos and lechon rolls. around 45 mins to an hour from Paranaque via the skyway, and u can take a bus or grab to get there easy
If you're into something a bit more laid-back, try the Las Pinas-Paranaque Wetland Park. It's a protected area along the coast with a nice boardwalk where you can watch birds and catch the sunset. It's only about 20 minutes from the main part of Paranaque by trike, and entry is free. Afterward, you can grab some taho or fishballs from the vendors near the entrance.
honestly if you're up for a quick drive, head to Las Pinas and check out the Bamboo Organ in St. Joseph Parish. it's a weirdly cool instrument thats like 200 years old and they still play it sometimes. after that grab lunch at The Nest in BF Homes, they got solid Filipino food and the place feels like a hidden garden. prob 30-40 mins from Paranaque with light traffic, but the commute via jeep or tricycle is doable too if you dont have a car
