yeah the guide is pretty thorough, one thing it misses is timing for the swat museum. if you go after 2pm it gets quiet and the caretaker sometimes lets you see the storage room with extra artifacts not on display, just ask politely. also for day 2, instead of going straight back to saidu from malam jabba, stop at the miandam village turnoff on the way down, there's a waterfall hidden behind the pine trees about 20 min walk from the road, locals call it "jabba seela" but it's not marked on any map
for day 3, the shahi bagh is nice but honestly the best part of mingora is the old city lanes behind the main bazaar, they have these tiny woodcarving workshops where you can watch them make furniture, way more interesting than the tourist shops. also if you're taking the bus to islamabad, the n-95 road is under construction near barikot so expect delays, bring snacks and water because the stops are limited now
honestly this is a solid itinerary, i live in mingora and i'd tweak a few things. for day 1, skip the green hills restaurant and try swat kebab house near the saidu sharif bridge instead, their chapli kebab is way better and cheaper at around pkr 300. also the white palace is a bit overrated tbh, the view is nice but the building itself is kinda run down, i'd spend more time at butkara stupa
for malam jabba, bring cash because the atm there is often broken and none of the stalls take cards. also the chairlift ride is fun but the queue can be an hour on weekends so go on a weekday if u can. the trout at the restaurant is decent but there's a smaller place further up the hill run by a local family that does it better for half the price
day 3 is good but i'd add a stop at the jambil road fruit market in the morning, they have the best pomegranates and apples from the valley, dirt cheap compared to the bazaars. for the bus to islamabad, the daewoo terminal near the mingora bypass is reliable and clean, costs about pkr 1000 now with inflation but worth it
