🍛 Hyderabadi Biryani Essentials
No visit to Hyderabad is complete without its iconic biryani. Paradise Biryani at Paradise Circle, Secunderabad (open 11 AM to 11 PM) serves a fragrant, tender version for around INR 350. For a more traditional taste, head to Hotel Shadab near Charminar (11 AM to midnight), where the mutton biryani costs INR 280 and is packed with rich spices.

🥟 Street Food at Charminar
The area around Charminar is a street food paradise, especially after sunset. Try the Irani chai and Osmania biscuits at Nimrah Cafe (open 6 AM to midnight) for just INR 20. For a savory fix, sample the spicy mirchi ka salan and double ka meetha from the vendors lining the nearby lanes.

🍢 Grilled Kebabs and Nihari
For melt-in-your-mouth kebabs, visit Bawarchi in RTC X Roads (11 AM to 11 PM), where a plate of chicken tikka costs INR 250. Another gem is Hotel Nayaab in Mehdipatnam (7 AM to 11 PM), famous for its slow-cooked nihari at INR 200 per bowl, best paired with fresh tandoori roti.

🥘 South Indian Breakfast Spots
Start your morning at Chutneys in Banjara Hills (7 AM to 10:30 PM), where a classic masala dosa costs INR 150 and comes with three chutneys. For a budget-friendly option, visit Ram Ki Bandi near Koti (6 AM to 11 AM), serving crispy idlis and vadas for under INR 50.

🍰 Desserts and Sweet Treats
Hyderabad's sweet tooth is well catered for at Karachi Bakery in Himayatnagar (9 AM to 9 PM), famous for its fruit biscuits and honey cakes starting at INR 100. For authentic double ka meetha, visit Cafe Bahar in Basheerbagh (9 AM to 11 PM), where a serving costs INR 120.

🍜 Fusion and Fine Dining
For a modern twist on Hyderabadi cuisine, try Dakshin in the ITC Kakatiya Hotel (7 PM to 11:30 PM), with a thali priced at INR 1,500. Another upscale option is Olive Bistro in Jubilee Hills (12 PM to 1 AM), offering Mediterranean-Indian fusion dishes like biryani arancini for INR 600.

🥤 Irani Chai and Cafes
Irani cafes are a Hyderabad institution; visit the iconic Cafe Niloufer in Lakdi-ka-pul (7 AM to 11 PM) for a strong chai at INR 25 and a bun maska for INR 30. For a more contemporary vibe, Roast 24 in Gachibowli (24 hours) serves specialty coffee and light bites starting at INR 200.

🛵 Food Tours and Delivery
To explore multiple spots in one go, book a guided food walk with Hyderabad Food Trail (INR 1,500 per person, 3 hours). For late-night cravings, Zomato and Swiggy deliver from most restaurants until 1 AM, with popular options like Behrouz Biryani and Box8 available.

yeah this is a great list, but the real hidden gem is the keema samosa at Karachi Bakery - sounds weird but it's like INR 30 and they fry it fresh, perfect with their chai. also for a late night snack after drinks, drive to Grand Hotel in Abids around midnight, their paya is legendary and costs like INR 150 a bowl, hits different when you're sleepy

solid list tbh but you're sleeping on the pista house in madinaguda, their double ka meetha is like INR 80 and way better than Cafe Bahar imo, less touristy too. also if you're near secunderabad try the mutton chops at Alpha Hotel in Ranigunj around evening time, they do this spicy gravy that's perfect with rumali roti, maybe INR 200 for a plate. one thing the guide nailed is Paradise being crowded on weekends, i'd rather go on a weekday afternoon when it's chill and the rice is fresher

honestly this is a solid list but you're missing one of my favorites - the haleem at Hotel Shadab during ramadan is next level, they only do it during that month though so timing matters. also for a quick bite near hitech city, try Shah Ghouse in Madhapur, their chicken 65 biryani is around INR 300 and way less crowded than Paradise on weekends.

one thing i'd add is that the chai at Nimrah is worth the hype but go early morning like 7am before the crowds show up, otherwise you're waiting 20 mins minimum. also if you're doing the Charminar street food thing, skip the overpriced stalls right at the gate and walk two lanes in towards Gulzar House, same stuff for half the price.

🍛 Lunch at Paradise Biryani
Head to Paradise Biryani in the old city (address: 1-1-1, Rikab Gunj, Hyderabad, 500002). A plate of their famous Hyderabadi biryani costs around INR 350-400. Expect a 15-20 minute wait during peak hours, but the flavor is worth it.

🏛️ Afternoon at Salar Jung Museum

🌅 Evening at Hussain Sagar Lake
From the museum, take a 15-minute cab (approx INR 100) to Hussain Sagar Lake. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the promenade or take a boat ride (INR 50-100 per person) to the giant Buddha statue in the middle. The sunset views here are stunning, especially with the city lights beginning to glow.

🎢 Afternoon at Ramoji Film City
From Hitech City, take a 45-minute cab (approx INR 500) to Ramoji Film City (open 9 AM-6 PM, entry INR 1,350 for adults). This is the world's largest film studio complex, offering guided tours, live shows, and themed sets. Allocate at least 4-5 hours to fully enjoy the experience.

honestly this is a really well put together itinerary, covers all the bases. one thing i'd add is that on day 1 after charminar, take a 5 minute walk to the nizam's museum in the purani haveli area. it's super cheap like 20 rupees and has all the old royal cars and stuff, most tourists skip it but it's a nice quiet break from the chaos outside. also for paradise biryani, the old city branch is fine but the wait can be longer than 20 mins on weekends, i'd prob go to the one in basheerbagh instead, same taste less crowd. your golconda morning plan is good but if you're up for it, the walk from the fort down to the tombs is a nice 20 minute stroll through the neighborhood, you'll see some old baolis (stepwells) along the way that aren't marked on maps

This is a solid plan that hits the major landmarks. One thing I'd add is that the Salar Jung Museum can get pretty crowded on weekends, so if your schedule is flexible, try to visit on a weekday morning. The Veiled Rebecca is impressive, but don't rush past the collection of arms and armor on the upper floor, it's easy to miss and has some fascinating pieces from the Mughal era. For the Golconda fort, I'd suggest going a bit earlier than the posted opening time, around 8:30 AM, because the walk up to the top gets hot fast and you'll have the place almost to yourself for that first hour.

The guide covers the main spots well, but you might want to swap Day 2 lunch at Inorbit for a meal at the Paradise Biryani in Madhapur instead. It's on the ground floor of the Cyber Towers building and has a slightly shorter wait than the old city location, plus the biryani is just as good. For the Golconda sound and light show, buy your tickets online in advance if you can, the queue at the gate gets long and they do sell out on weekends.
