ngl the suya spots are prob your best bet for actual local flavor after dark. there's a place near the old market that does really good grilled tilapia too, not just meat. if you're set on a drink, the mamman kontagora road has a few unmarked spots that sell beer from coolers but it's all very lowkey and you gotta know someone to find em. just don't walk around late with a bottle in hand, cops here are chill but not that chill
honestly sokoto isn't really a nightlife town compared to lagos or abuja. most places close pretty early, like by 10pm or so. if you're looking for a drink, try the sokoto club along sultan abubakar road - it's a bit quiet but has a decent vibe. there's also the giginya memorial hotel bar, but it's more of a chill hangout than a party spot. just keep in mind that alcohol isn't as common or openly available here, so don't expect wild nights out
yeah nightlife here is pretty lowkey, but if you're after something different try the lounges at the kalambaina area near the airport. the one at the radisson blu has a decent bar that stays open later than most places in town, like til midnight sometimes. also worth checking out the little suya spots along abdullahi fodi road after 8pm - they're not bars but you get grilled meat and can grab a soft drink, it's where locals actually hang out. just don't expect loud music or dancing, it's more of a sit-and-chat scene
