One thing I'd mention is that the Natural History Museum's elephant fetus exhibit is a bit grim but genuinely unique, and the building itself is worth seeing even if you skip the inside. If you're around on a Saturday morning, the FEIMA market has a secondhand book stall run by an old professor who sells English novels for like 50 MZN each, great for a beach read. Also, the grilled prawns at Barraca da Praia are better than the fish in my opinion, just ask them to go easy on the piri-piri.
this is a solid itinerary, ngl. one thing i'd add is the craft beer scene, specifically at mercado do peixe they have a spot called cafe d'africa that pours local brews like 2m or raiano. also, skip the maputo shopping center for souvenirs and hit the art market at feima instead, way more character and you can haggle better. for day 3, if you have the energy, walk south from praia da costa do sol along the marginal towards the catembe ferry, it's a chill 30 min walk with good views of the bay
honestly this is pretty much spot on, i've been in maputo for 2 years now and one thing you're missing is the sunday jazz sessions at cafe d'africa near the fish market, they start around 11am and it's a vibe, also for day 3 instead of the botanical gardens pop into the maputo fort museum its free and has some cool history exhibits that most tourists skip

solid guide, covers all the big ones. if you're into architecture at all, don't skip the maputo city hall (conselho municipal) on praça da independencia, it's this gorgeous beaux-arts building with a huge staircase and the inside is open to wander during office hours. also, for a drink with a view, the rooftop at the polana serra hotel is pricey but worth it for one cocktail, you get the whole bay and it's a good spot to watch the sun go down without the marginal crowds.
