if you're looking for something a little less touristy, check out el jardin cervecero on blvd. fundadores. it's a craft beer spot with a backyard vibe and they sometimes have live bands playing covers. not really a dance club but it's where people go to hang before heading out later. for actual dancing, i'd skip barra 33 and try la terraza on zaragoza instead, smaller spot but the dj actually plays cumbia and reggaeton mixed in with the usual banda. cover is about the same, 100-150 pesos, but drinks are slightly cheaper there

honestly the best weekend spot is la choperia on allende street, it's a huge beer garden with live music and a solid dance floor. for dancing specifically, go to barra 33 near the plaza, they play a mix of norteño and banda and it gets packed by midnight. if you want something more lowkey, try patronato on hidalgo, tehy have good mezcal and a chill rooftop vibe but no dancing. cover charges are usually like 100-150 pesos on weekends, just bring cash

lol you people and your barra 33 recs. that place is fine if you wanna stand shoulder to shoulder with tourists all night. real locals are at depresion on obregon street, it's a tiny dive with cheap beer and a jukebox that only plays old corrid
