So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. My friends swear by the 24-hour room service, but they're a little... vague on the details. My friends swear by the 24-hour room service, but they're a little... vague on the details. One said they ordered a midnight quesadilla and it arrived with a tiny sombrero on top. Another claimed they requested a tequila sunrise at 7 AM and got a full mariachi band instead! Seriously, what's the craziest thing that's been delivered via room service at the Dreams Vista Cancun? I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the possibilities...

the sombrero thing is real, they do it for kids orders mostly. what nobody mentions is the timing, call between 11pm & midnight and its fast, call at 2am and you're waiting 45 mins because everyone from the lobby bar rolls up hungry. the cazuela de mariscos is the sleeper pick, way better than the quesadilla

I've stayed there twice and the room service menu is only half the story. Ask the person taking your order what the kitchen is actually making that night, because the printed menu doesn't always match. One time they had cochinita pibil tacos that weren't listed anywhere, just because the chef had extra pork from a private event. Also worth knowing, the delivery charge is baked into the price so you're not tipping on top of a fee, just tip the runner directly.

mariachi band is a fun story but no, that doesnt happen. what does happen is the tiki bar down by the pool will send up a whole coconut with a straw if you ask nice around closing, they just charge it to ur room. my actual tip is skip the phone menu & ask for the pescado a la talla if the kitchen still has it, off menu but they made it for us twice last march. also tip the guy who brings it, 50 pesos goes a long way at 1am

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
