I've heard the acoustics are... interesting. Some reviews say it's amazing, others say it's a total nightmare for sound quality depending on where you sit. Anyone who's been to a show there, what's the actual sound like, especially in the upper sections? Was it muddy, clear, or somewhere in between? I'm trying to decide if I should spring for the pricey floor seats or risk the cheaper ones up higher.

depends what kind of show tbh. i saw a rock act there in the lower bowl near the side and it was fine, loud and punchy. but for anything with heavy vocals or acoustic stuff the roof just kills it, everything smears together by the time it hits the back. if its a band you actually want to hear properly, pay for floor or the first few rows of the lower section, skip the upper deck entirely.

yeah vocals get wrecked but i'd add the first few rows of lower bowl sides beat floor for sightlines anyway, unless you're tall

the roof is the whole problem, its open on the sides but that metal canopy over the north stand traps everything. i sat upper south for a bad bunny show and it was a wall of noise, couldnt tell one song from the next til the crowd sang the chorus. weird tip but the grassy area behind the general section actually sounds cleaner if u dont mind standing, less reverb bouncing back at u. for a few pesos more id just do lower bowl sides over floor tho, floor gets packed & u cant see anything past the third row

honestly this gets asked every time there's a concert there and the answer never changes. the upper sections are a concrete echo chamber, teh sound bounces off the roof and turns into mud. floor or nothing if you actually care about hearing the vocals.

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
