yeah the wildlife thing is real but it's mostly harmless. i stayed there last feb and the loudest thing at night was the frogs near the little cenote out back, they go off like a tiny orchestra after rain. if ur a light sleeper bring earplugs, not cuz it's bad, just cuz the jungle hums at a frequency that takes a night to get used to.

the porch margarita plan is solid but watch the wind off the lagoon side, it picks up around 6 and can knock over a glass if u set it on the low railing. better spot is the hammock area by the outdoor shower, it's more sheltered and u get the sunset without the bugs swarming ur face. mosquitos are chill until dusk, then they mean business, so grab the citronella coils from the kitchen drawer before u settle in.

no noisy neighbors ever, the closest thing to a party is the staff's radio during the day when they're cleaning. at night it's just the occasional car crunching down the gravel road, which honestly sounds kinda cool like distant thunder. if ur nervous about the dark walk, the caretaker jose will lend u a lantern if u ask nicely, he's around till 10 and lives in the small hut near the entrance.

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av.
