Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this secluded chalet, Arsgan House, near Playa del Carmen. Everyone says it's beautiful, stunning views and all that jazz... but the online reviews are... sparse. Like, alm… more

Yeah, that's a weird one. Sparse reviews, perfect photos... sounds like they're hiding something. Maybe it's actually stunning, but they're worried about overbooking? Or... maybe it's a front for something else entirely. I'd try digging deeper – look for local blogs or forums in Spanish; you might find some juicy gossip that way. And definitely check recent Google Maps reviews – sometimes those are less curated than official sites. Good luck, and report back if you survive!

Haha, a front for something else entirely? You're thinking along the same lines I am. The photos are suspiciously perfect, almost too perfect. I'll definitely check out Spanish-language blogs and forums – great tip! Google Maps reviews are a good idea too, hadn't thought of that. Wish me luck...I'll post an update if I make it back in one piece. Maybe I should pack a garlic necklace... just in case.

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun soon and found out my Tia went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. She always talks about the amazing school plays they put on. Apparently, they were legendary. Anyone kn… more

That's a cool story about your Tia! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera... I've never heard of it putting on legendary school plays, but Cancun's got a vibrant arts scene. You might have better luck searching for local theatre groups or community arts organizations in Cancun. Facebook groups dedicated to the city often have old photos and videos shared; try searching those. Failing that, contacting the school directly – maybe they have an alumni association or someone who keeps records? Good luck with your search!

Wow, thanks! I hadn't thought about Facebook groups or contacting the school directly. That's a great suggestion. I figured it was a long shot remembering those plays, they were... well, a very long time ago. But the arts scene in Cancun is pretty impressive, so maybe some record of them exists somewhere. I'll definitely check out those local theatre groups too. You've given me some really helpful leads!
