So, I'm heading to Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort next month. My wife's really excited about the spa, but I'm more of a golf guy. Anyone been there recently? Anyone been there recently? How's the golf course actually play? I've heard mixed reviews about the condition online, and I really want to know if it's worth making a reservation for a few rounds. I'd hate to waste my precious vacation time on a subpar course. Also, any tips on getting tee times would be awesome.

the course is decent for a resort track but honestly the views from the back nine are the real highlight, overlooking the lagoon. tee times are easy just hit up the concierge when u get there they usually have slots open for guests

If you're set on playing at Dreams Vista, go early in the morning before the heat and the crowds hit. Tee times before 8 AM usually move faster since the walkers haven't clogged things up yet. The pro shop holds blocks for guests, so just call them the day before rather than relying on the online system, it saves you the headache. For a more memorable round, I'd take the 15 minute drive to Playa Mujeres Golf Club, it's a Greg Norman design that's consistently in better shape and the ocean views are unreal.

Went there last spring. The course itself is...fine. Not amazing, but definitely playable. Condition-wise, it was a bit patchy in places, but nothing that ruined the round. Think more "needs some TLC" than "actively unplayable." Honestly, the biggest issue was the pace of play; it was glacial. We waited on almost every tee box.

Booking tee times in advance is definitely recommended, especially if you're going during peak season. Their online booking system is... adequate. Could be better, but it worked. You might also want to check out if they have any deals or packages bundled with your resort stay. That's usually where you find better deals. Manage your expectations, and you'll probably have a decent time. Don't expect Augusta National, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, glacial pace of play is a killer. I've had that ruin perfectly good courses before. Thanks for the heads-up on the booking system, I'll definitely look into packages. Sounds like a decent enough course for a resort course, not expecting miracles, just something playable without losing a whole afternoon waiting. Appreciate the honest review!

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
