oh man, the sound in there is no joke. the tin roof traps everything so when the home team gets a hit it's like a wave of noise that just bounces around, you can feel it in your chest. i've seen a few pitchers visibly rush their mechanics after a big roar from the crowd, so yeah it messes with the away team's focus. grab a beer from one of the guys walking the aisles, the modelo from the cart is always colder than the concession stand

yeah the crowd noise here is legit, it's not just hype. the away team's dugout is right next to the timbiriche section so when those drums start up during a pitcher's windup, you can see some guys flinch. i've watched a few visiting outfielders lose a ball in the lights cause the crowd's roar throws off their timing too

the sound here works differently than a typical dome or park because the humidity makes the noise feel heavier, like it sticks in the air longer. i've watched left fielders on the visiting team hesitate on a fly ball when the crowd starts clapping in rhythm during a two-strike count, it's a real thing. sit behind home plate if you can, the sound from the timbiriche section bounces off the press box and hits you from both sides at once

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
