tbh the sun there is no joke because of the reflection off the white concrete paths. i started wearing one of those uv arm sleeves you see cyclists use, grabbed a pair at aeon for like rm15. they look kinda extra but you dont need to reapply anything on your arms and you can just roll them off when youre in the shade. also theres a proper shaded seating area behind the owl exhibit thats easy to miss, most people walk right past it
You might want to time your visit differently. I always go just before closing around 4pm, the afternoon sun is lower and the birds start getting active again for feeding. Plus you can walk over to the Lake Gardens after and catch the sunset at the KL Tower, it's maybe a 15 minute walk through the park. good guide, but the real move for budget eating is the food court at mid valley basement, lot 10 hutong is tourist pricing now. you can get a proper claypot chicken rice for RM6 there and it's legit. also, for the KLCC park, go at 7pm when they do the fountain light show, it's free and way better than paying for the towers view
