Good Chicken Salad Sandwich?

Anyone had a solid chicken salad sandwich and would recommend?

honestly the chicken salad sandwich at paul bassett in ebisu is underrated. it's a coffee shop chain but their version is simple with herbs and grapes, not too mayo-heavy. runs about 1500 yen with a drink set. the shibuya scramble square location is convenient if ur already in that chaos but the ebisu one has more seating

tbh the best one I've had in a while is at this tiny place called Breadworks in Kiyosumi Shirakawa. it's a bakery that does a few sandwich options and their chicken salad has chunks of thigh meat and walnuts, super clean flavor. about 1200 yen for a sandwich and you can grab a coffee from the shop next door. only downside is it's cash only and they close by 4pm so plan ahead

not gonna lie the chicken salad sandwich at the cona coffee shop in jiyugaoka is a sleeper hit. it's this tiny kissaten with like 6 seats and they serve it on a fluffy roll with chopped egg mixed in too which is a little different. about 900 yen with a coffee and the owner's super chill about letting you sit and read for a while. just get there before 2pm cause they sell out of sandwiches most days

Are there community garden things around places like Common Place that meet weekly and are open to foreigners? Would rather commit to something recurring than keep doing tourist events.

Common Place in Yoyogi hosts a monthly garden volunteer day, not weekly, so check their board. For weekly stuff, the Setagaya community garden groups near Sangenjaya are welcoming to foreigners.

Good shout on the monthly one, and Nakano's ward runs a weekly gardening circle that takes foreign residents too, I think you just sign up at the shimin center.
