Best donuts near The Donut Shop in Tokyo 2026?

fmd_goodThe Donut Shop · #tokyo #queue #donuts
Coming to Tokyo for a week in March 2026 and The Donut Shop keeps popping up on my feed. is it worth the queue or should I try somewhere else nearby? Any tips on what to order and when to go to avoid… Coming to Tokyo for a week in March 2026 and The Donut Shop keeps popping up on my feed. is it worth the queue or should I try somewhere else nearby? The Donut Shop is fine but tbh the plain glazed at Doughnut Plant in Shinjuku beats it and the line moves faster. Go before 9am on a weekday, weekends are chaos. Order the creme brulee one if u go.

Doughnut Plant's Shinjuku counter is takeaway only, so grab your box and eat it in the little park a block east rather than hovering by the door.

that little park is shinjuku chuo park, benches fill up at lunch so grab one before noon

good call on the park, but there's a bench row along the south edge that gets shade most of the afternoon. bring napkins, the glaze gets sticky in march humidity. also the counter closes earlier than the posted hours some days, staff start packing up around 6

Agree on the weekday timing, but the creme brulee sells out fast so go even earlier if that's your pick. Their seasonal matcha one in spring is honestly the sleeper hit.

creme brulee is worth the early alarm but their cinnamon sugar travels better if ur eating outside

Grab the seasonal yuzu one if they've got it, that's the one locals actually queue for.

imo skip the hype spots and hit Floresta in Nakameguro for matcha old-fashioned, way calmer on weekday afternoons.

yeah floresta's solid but they sell out of the matcha one pretty early, like by early afternoon sometimes. get there before lunch if u really want it. the plain ones are still good later tho

Skip weekends entirely, Saturday afternoon there is a mob and the tiny seating area inside fills up fast.

Best quiet work spots near Ocean Center Tokyo 2026

fmd_goodOcean Center · #aquarium #camping
anyone else work remotely around Ocean Center? thinking of camping out near the aquarium on weekdays when its quiet, but not sure how teh wifi situation is. also curious what hours ppl keep to overlap… anyone else work remotely around Ocean Center? thinking of camping out near the aquarium on weekdays when its quiet, but not sure how teh wifi situation is. also curious what hours ppl keep to overlap with US teams, do u stay late or start super early?

The aquarium wifi is guest-only and drops constantly, so tether off your phone. I'd take the early shift instead, 5 or 6am here lines up with US afternoon, and the Odaiba cafes open by 7.

yeah tethering is the move, shinagawa side is quieter

Fuji TV building lobby has free seating and solid wifi, quieter than the mall food courts on weekday afternoons
