Best bagels near Hole in One Tokyo 2026?

fmd_goodHole in One · #tokyo #train #bagels
Staying near Hole in One and need a decent bagel in the morning. Is it worth going early or does it get packed by 9? Also is there a train pass that covers getting around that area? bagel-wise, i'd just go at opening if u can, queues build fast after 8:30 on weekends. for trains a suica or pasmo covers basically everything around there, no need for a special pass unless ur doing day trips.

yeah weekends get rough but weekday mornings before 8 are pretty chill, i usually walk in no wait. one thing tho, suica works but if ur doing a lot in one day the yamanote loop is cheap enough that a pass barely saves anything

mister donut nearby instead, ngl

Image yuinaka local ·

tbh the mister donut on the corner is fine but their coffee's weak, id rather grab a conbini iced coffee and walk

donuts arent really a bagel substitute tho. the mister donut near hole in one is fine for a cheap sit but if u actually want a bagel to takeaway the conbini ones at 7-eleven are honestly closer to what ur after

Tokyo tourist attraction prices for foreigners 2026

What's the actual price visitors pay there in 2026, not the local rate? Just trying to budget right.

most city-run spots stay free or close to it, tbh. ueno zoo is like 600 yen, and that's the same whether ur foreign or not. budget for food and trains instead, that's where the money actually goes

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image kati local ·

Agree, trains and food are the real budget drain.

arrow_drop_up -1 arrow_drop_down

Image diana local ·

Shinjuku Gyoen is 500 yen and pricier for non-residents now

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image christl local ·

Fair point on food and trains eating the budget. One thing though, Ueno Zoo bumped to 600 yen flat for adults a while back and it's the same desk price for everyone. Same story at places like Edo-Tokyo Museum, no tourist tier.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Food and trains really do eat the budget, though Asakusa's Sensoji area and Meiji Jingu cost nothing at all.

The TMG observatory is free for everyone, foreigner or not, just queue at the south entrance before 8:30am.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down
Image kati local ·

Yeah, still free and no foreigner surcharge. Just bring ID for the security check and note the north observatory closes earlier, so aim for the south one if you're going late.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image nina local ·

also skip the observatory cafe, walk 5 min to the 7-Eleven on the B1 level for coffee instead

arrow_drop_up 10 arrow_drop_down
Image cirsten local ·

FamilyMart on the 32nd floor is closer.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Image lina local ·

B1 shop shuts at 5pm on weekends so hit the vending machines on the 2nd floor instead
