plain slice is around 400 yen, lunch queue at noon gets rough, like 15 to 20 min on a weekday. tbh i'd walk to the spot near Ebisu station instead, better crust & no wait after 1pm

the walk to that other spot is worth it but check the hours first, i think they close early on Wednesdays too. also cash only last time i went, no card.
Fair call on the crust, though that walk only pays off if you go whole pies, the by-the-slice counter there is a separate little window and it's often shut.

yeah 11:30 is the cutoff, by 11:45 the office crowd floods in and you're waiting 20 min easy.
11:30 works but i'd honestly aim for 11:15 on fridays, the line starts forming outside by then. also the counter seats upstairs are usually free if you're solo, most people don't realize they exist

Agreed, though I'd say closer to 11:15 if you want a seat. The queue moves fast once it starts but the tables fill up first, so solo folks should just grab a stool at the window.

Worth checking the noticeboard by the gate, there's usually a flyer for whatever's renting it that month. Last I saw it was a jazz trio doing Saturday afternoon sets, which explains the noise you might hear on your walk.
It was built in the 1920s as a chapel for the foreign community, and the little graveyard behind the hedge is still technically consecrated ground.
that building's been a few things over the years. pretty sure it's a small language school / event space now, they do the occasional thing on weekends but nothing you'd call a congregation. the bell tower's just leftover from when it was a chapel
