Shibuya's old spot is a ramen chain now, but Nonbei Yokocho and the Ushigome spots still pour good craft, rent's the real killer though.

Ebisu's Yorocco and the Baird taproom by Nakameguro still pour proper pints, and Koenji rent stays cheaper than the center.
kanda and ochanomizu are where i'd actually look now, a few tiny standing bars opened up round there & rent's still half decent. the old tapped spots got priced out more than anything, scene itself is fine tbh

weekday mornings r the move now, sat queue starts around 7:40 & the layout killed the old corner table i used to camp at
still opens 7 on sat, got there at 7:10 last month and had my pick of seats. coffee's held up, the layout just made the window counter tighter so it feels busier than it is. go before 8 & ur fine
yeah 7:40 is when it flips, before that ur good
Coffee quality hasn't slipped but the pastry case got smaller and the seating is more first-come chaos now.
