yeah they mark down the day-old loaves in the late afternoon but the sandwiches themselves are still made fresh. if u want cheap bread for home just ask the counter, they keep a basket near the register

Shibuya branch does get fresher bread, though I'd go before noon since the pastrami dries out by mid afternoon.
honestly after 2ish the bread's the bigger issue than the meat, gets kinda stiff. mornings or bust for me

Crumb's shokupan is the sleeper hit, better than the croissants people queue for. Weekends after 9am the line snakes past the corner, so go on a weekday or right at opening.
Line's worse on Saturday, go Sunday instead.

Shokupan's usually gone by early afternoon too.

good call, theyre usually down to a couple by 10:30 tbh, and the mentaiko one goes even faster
Weekday opening still means 8am sharp, and the anpan goes before the croissants do.
