Best English-speaking doctor in Tokyo for a bad back?

Are there clinics around Shibuya or Nakameguro that see foreign residents without a referral, and do they take national health insurance or charge the full 8,000 to 15,000 yen up front? I'd also like to know if anyone has tried a decent English-speaking osteopath or orthopedist near Brew Lab.

the seikei geka clinic inside shibuya mark city takes walk ins & NHI, saw someone there for a slipped disc last year. for an osteopath near brew lab try the one on yamate dori by the post office, cash only though maybe 6000 a session

Mark City's seikei geka is on the 6th floor of the office tower, not the mall side, and they stop new walk-ins around 5pm.

honestly that yamate dori osteopath only takes cash and shuts by 7, so go before dinner or you'll be stuck

Yamate dori one also does shiatsu add-ons if your back's really locked up. Just don't expect much English past the front desk.

Tokyo Medical and Surgical Clinic near Kamiyacho does orthopedics in English, no referral needed, and they bill NHI directly so you're not fronting the full amount. For Nakameguro, try the seikei geka at the Meguro Chuo hospital, though you'll want to call first about English.

yeah tmsc is solid, just book ahead cuz they fill up. the seikei geka thing tracks, took my dad there once and it was fine but slow

book ahead a few days out since walk ins there usually get pushed to the afternoon

Best deli sandwiches near Market Deli in Tokyo 2026

Anyone else grab lunch at Market Deli on the regular? Their sandwiches are solid but I wanna know what else is good nearby, thinking of trying somewhere new this week. honestly if you're already at Market Deli just walk 3 min to Doutor on the corner, their katsu sando is cheaper and the coffee's fine. not fancy but tbh I grab it more than the deli these days.

Fair warning the Doutor katsu sando sells out by about 1:30, so go before the office crowd hits.
