Bean & Folio still worth it in 2026?
coffee's genuinely decent, they pull a proper flat white and the beans rotate monthly. weekday 10am is fine, rush hits around 11:30 when the remote crowd rolls in and every seat with an outlet is gone. i'd go for the counter seats by the window, quieter & better light than the back tables everyone fights over
yeah the window counter, but only 4 stools
those 4 stools go fast on Fri especially, ppl camp out from opening. tbh the back tables are fine if u bring a power bank and dont need the outlet. also the pastries sell out by noon so grab one early.
what about the decaf tho, any good
Fair warning though, the flat white comes out closer to a latte if you don't ask for it strong. Their single origin pour over is the better order in my book, and the staff will actually talk you through the monthly rotation if it's not slammed.

yeah the 7pm rush is real. i usually hit the Seiyu over by Shibuya instead, markdowns start around 6 and the queue moves faster. City Market's still better for sashimi though, ngl.
Fair point on the queue, but their sashimi counter at City Market gets the last trays around 7:30 and those go half off. I've had better luck on weeknights, weekends it's a scrum.

30 percent is the sticker price, but the real half-off stuff at Donki starts when staff slap the red 半額 stickers around 8:30.
Those red stickers are gold but the 半額 timing shifts by store, my local one starts closer to 9 on slow nights.
The Seiyu on Meiji-dori near Shinjuku sanchome is my go-to for the same reason, markdowns kick in earlier and the registers keep moving. Their deli counter clears out faster than the bento shelf though, so I grab rice and a side instead of a full tray.
which Seiyu is that, the one by the station? their deli case clears out way before 6 on Sundays, mostly karaage left
Their fish counter marks down tuna blocks around 7, but the queue at the register still eats the savings.
