best pizza near Nonno's in Tokyo 2026

fmd_goodNonno's · #pizza
anyone know if Nonno's still does that thin crust slice at lunch or did they change the menu this year? i'm around there on saturdays and want to know if it's worth the detour vs the spot two blocks d… anyone know if Nonno's still does that thin crust slice at lunch or did they change the menu this year? i'm around there on saturdays and want to know if it's worth the detour vs the spot two blocks down

went last month and the crust was still solid but go before 1 or the slices sit out a bit

same, gets soggy after 12:30

Image diana local ·

thin crust goes limp by 12:15 tbh

Image anna local ·

nonno's switched to a set menu around 1:30 so the cheap slice window is tighter than last year

if ure going on a sat the gaien nishi dori place gets packed by 11:45 so id honestly just grab a slice at nonno's right when they open. crust holds up better than it did last year imo

Working from a Tokyo deli in 2026: wifi and hours?

fmd_goodSunny Deli · #tokyo #wifi #deli
I'm in Tokyo for a few weeks in 2026 and need a spot to work from some mornings. Does Sunny Deli have reliable wifi and outlets, and is it ok to camp with a laptop during off peak hours? Also curious… I'm in Tokyo for a few weeks in 2026 and need a spot to work from some mornings. Does Sunny Deli have reliable wifi and outlets, and is it ok to camp with a laptop during off peak hours? Also curious how late people usually stay at places like this before it gets awkward.

sunny deli is more of a quick lunch counter tbh, for laptop mornings i'd hit a doutor or excelsius instead, wifi's steadier & nobody blinks if u stay till 11

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Doutor wifi drops after 30 min unless u re-auth, fwiw

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image roselwoll local ·

yeah the 30 min cutoff is real, though at some branches it's closer to an hour if the store's half empty. excelsius doesn't do that re-auth thing at all in my experience, which is why i default there for longer stretches

Excelsius, but the Yurakucho one fills by 10.

agreed on the lunch counter thing. but the 11am thing depends on the branch, the ones near office blocks like Otemachi start getting the salaryman rush around 11:30 & u can feel the side-eye. aim to wrap by 11 if ur in that kind of area

arrow_drop_up 19 arrow_drop_down

office block branches switch to full lunch mode even earlier on fridays, like 11 sharp, so watch the calendar not just the clock. honestly the side eye starts when the trays come out, not at a fixed hour

Renoir in Shimokita, opens 9.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image lilly local ·

The Jiyugaoka branch is quieter on weekdays and the 9am open still holds, though outlets only line the wall seats.

Image zenta local ·

Shimokita's branch is small, maybe eight tables, so a laptop and a tray eat up a seat fast. Grab the counter along the window if you can, and buy a second coffee around the hour mark. Staff there are relaxed but regulars notice.

Morning is peak for most delis so campers get side-eye by 8:30. Stations like Kichijoji and Nakameguro have kissaten that tolerate laptops till noon if you keep ordering coffee.
