honestly for produce I'd skip that whole building and walk to the Life a couple blocks north, their morning veg is cheaper and fresher. markdowns there start closer to 4 so you beat the office crowd. second floor's fine but Life wins on greens imo.

Fair point on the greens, though their fruit section is where it falls apart. I still swing by City Market second floor for bananas and whatever's on the 30% sticker, since the walk to that other spot adds ten minutes each way.

Their ¥98 daikon and negi bundles alone justify the extra walk, though I still grab natto and milk at the Konan up the street.

Agree on the greens, but their fish counter clears out by noon so go early if you want sashimi too.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Life's 4pm markdowns are solid, but their produce aisle gets mobbed by 4:30, so I go right at 3:45.

basement floor's mostly dry goods and booze tbh, not worth the walk for produce. i hit the markdown shelf around 5:30 instead, before the 6pm rush picks it clean. the second floor still beats the Seiyu over on Meiji-dori for greens.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

the daiei on meiji-dori marks down at 7, better haul

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

7 is cutting it close for the good stuff though, the bento and sashimi go first and veg is picked over by then

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

5:30 works but the 30% stickers beat the half-price ones

Sidecar's a proper cocktail bar, not a laptop spot, and they'll politely redirect you, so aim for the hotel lounges in Marunouchi instead.

Agree, though the Yaesu-side Starbucks in Mitsukoshi closes at 8.

hotel lounges make sense but some of the ones i checked in that area want a minimum spend after like 6pm

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Peninsula lounge, quieter after 9.

Ginza bars in general aren't laptop friendly, but the kissaten around Shimbashi survive on people nursing one coffee through a US call. I usually stay till 2 or 3am on overlap nights, then sleep in.
