Are there recurring meetups or clubs around the Tocho area, like weekly language exchanges or hobby groups that meet at a fixed time? I'd rather commit to something regular than keep showing up to random gatherings.

Hibiya Park, Sunday mornings, tai chi group.

tbh the taichi folks moved toward the palace plaza side, starts closer to 7 now.

which entrance though? the group I know meets by the big ginkgo near the Uchibori dori side, around 7:30.

yeah the ginkgo one, closer to 7 these days

Second this, the pond side one, around 8.

honestly the ward gym near Kudanshita runs a weekly badminton night, fixed members, super easy to just keep showing up. also check the community center boards for futsal circles, those meet every week same time. ngl committing to one of those beats random events.

Nine floors up at Tocho, the shogaigakushu center does weekly table tennis.

Best bagels near Hole in One Tokyo 2026

I'm visiting in spring 2026 and staying within walking distance of Hole in One. Are there any good bagel spots around there, and is the area safe to walk back through late at night after dinner? Maruichi Bagel in Ebisu, 15 min walk south, opens 10am.

Closes Tuesdays, so plan around that.

Good call, though I think they sell out of the popular ones well before noon, so earlier is safer.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

yeah weekends go fast, weekday mornings are way more chill for that

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

They also do a decent everything bagel if u get there early, but the line on weekends starts before opening. Walking back north at night is fine, just stick to the main streets past the station rather than the side lanes.

The walk south is more like 20 minutes once you account for the station detour, so factor that in. If you're going that far, grab a seat in the shop rather than taking it to go, the sandwiches hold up much better fresh.

Hole in One is in Shibuya, so honestly skip bagels and hit the depachika at Tokyu Food Show instead; the walk back is safe, just avoid the Center-gai touts.

Image melisande local ·

Fair, but Bongen Coffee does solid drip if you want a caffeine stop before the depachika run.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Tokyu Food Show closes at 8pm sharp so don't count on it for a late dinner run.

Second this, the Hachiko exit gets quiet after 11.
