Old Town Gardens Tokyo entry fee 2026, is 500 yen normal?
500 yen is just the normal rate now, most of the decent gardens in town sit in that 300 to 500 range since the last round of price bumps. the tea house is separate, expect maybe 700 to 1000 for matcha and a sweet, and they usually stop serving mid afternoon so dont save it for the end of ur visit
yeah 500 is standard now, we pay the same. one thing though, a lot of these places do a cheap senior rate if u qualify, otherwise it is what it is

Agree on the 300 to 500 range, though the bigger strolling gardens have crept past it, Shinjuku Gyoen is 500 and Kyu-Furukawa is 150. Worth noting the teahouse counters here are cash only, cards don't work.
ocean center tokyo 2026 worth it for kids?
went last spring with a 6 and 9 yr old, the jellyfish room & the deep sea tank upstairs kept them busy way longer than expected. tickets are around 2300 yen for adults, kids cheaper, and you can re-enter if u eat outside. book online to skip the ticket line
yeah the re-entry thing is clutch, we pack bento and eat by the canal. fwiw teh upstairs tank is where my kids always ask to go back first

dolphin show still runs, ~3 times a day, but the stadium fills up fast so grab seats 20 min early. weekends are rough with strollers, go on a weekday morning if u can. the touch pool is what my kids actually remember, not the big tank
