lune savory: quiche lorraine, ham & cheese croissant till 11

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image isedore local ·

the ham & cheese one sells out before 10 usually

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Weekends it's closer to 9:15, I've watched the last one go while I was still in line. Weekday mornings you're fine rocking up at 9:45.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

quiche goes quick too, gone by 10:30 most days

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image felicitas local ·

yeah but they stop savory at 11 sharp not till, so dont roll in at 10:50 expecting much

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down
Image elise local ·

yep 11 is a hard cutoff, theyre restocking the lunch sandwiches by then. also closed wednesdays which catches people out. if u want savory past 11 just walk to the depachika at Isetan, 5 min

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image felizitas local ·

Slight correction, they pull savory at 11 but the ham & cheese is usually gone by 9:30 on weekends.

Closed Mondays too, learnt that the hard way.

Add the pain au chocolat, gone by 9 on Sat.

Just don't count on the savory stuff lasting that long on a Saturday, I've seen the case empty well before then.

best aquarium in Tokyo 2026 for locals

maxell aqua park shinagawa is my go to for a quick fix but sunshine aquarium in ikebukuro is solid too. anyone got a favorite that's not packed on weekends maxell aqua park shinagawa is my go to for a quick fix but sunshine aquarium in ikebukuro is solid too. anyone got a favorite that's not packed on weekends

shinagawa is fine but try tokyo sea life park in shinagawa too, way quieter on saturdays & the jellyfish room alone is worth the 2500 yen

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image juliane local ·

The jellyfish room is genuinely the best bit, though I'd skip the weekend crowds and go after 5pm when it thins out.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Image felizitas local ·

yeah sea life is the sleeper pick. fwiw the penguin feeding around 1pm draws a crowd so go before that or after, and weekdays the ticket desk barely has a line at all.

Image heike local ·

yep, mornings are dead quiet there

Ikebukuro Sunshine, Tuesday mornings

Image kati local ·

Sea Life's top floor terrace over the bay is the part nobody mentions, worth the ticket on its own.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

good call on the quieter weekends, though i'd grab the combo ticket with the nearby mall for a few hundred yen more

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the combo ticket with the mall next door is the actual move, saves u a few hundred yen and you can duck out for lunch. saturdays still get busy after 11 though so go early.

Jellyfish room before noon, no crowd at all.
