the crown's fine but i usually walk down to the hub in shibuya for a proper pint, cheaper too. for cards, most places here take visa but amex gets turned down a lot, so i'd carry a visa backup.
Hub's a chain though, Popeye in Ryogoku pours better.
Popeye's craft list changes monthly, worth the trip.
Try Mugito in Ebisu if you want a quieter pint, it's a short ride from there. For cards, mine gets declined too so I just bring cash now.

sunshine aquarium's rooftop penguin space is the rainy-day trick since it's covered, and ikebukuro station gets u there without stepping outside much
Good call on the covered walkway, though the rooftop gets windy in March so bring a jacket for the penguin bit.
ikebukuro route is clutch when it pours. just note the rooftop bit shuts early on windy days so check the board before heading up. penguins are worth it tho

yeah the dolphin show fills up fast so grab a spot by the tank like 15 min early
ticket machines jam up right at open so buy online first
agree on the weekday timing, weekends the queue snakes past the entrance by 930. if u go early grab the epson aquarium app first, the touch pool slots book out same morning. march rain means the indoor dolphin area gets packed by noon
